A Centre to give hope to traumatised Christians

ACN is supporting a project to set up a Centre where suffering people can bring their pain and prayers and find healing in God’s merciful love. The proposed Martyrs’ Adoration Centre will be located in Sokoto Diocese, Northern Nigeria, a hotspot of violence.

The local Church leaders are making significant efforts to keep the Faith alive in this region and revitalise the faithful who have suffered too many attacks on their Faith. They want to transform this ugly situation into a seed and an opportunity for spiritual renewal, healing, and growth in the Faith.

Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah of Sokoto Diocese wrote to ACN: “Our people are anxious and grieving. There is great need to encourage them and strengthen them in their Faith; to give them a place where they can pour out their heart, to unite their sufferings to our Redeemer’s passion and lay everything at His feet.

With your kind support, the faithful will be able to gather at this Martyr’s Adoration Centre for prayers, vigils, activities to promote healing and spiritual growth, and to honour the victims of the Islamic extremists who died for the sake of their Christian Faith.

Your Gift of Faith given with love will make a huge difference in the lives of brothers and sisters in need this Lent.
